So, what are Space Bags?  Space bags are storage ‘containers’ or bags that help you get the most out of your storage space.  They’re good for clothes, bedding, blankets, and other linens.

The concept behind Space Bags is pretty simple.  Linens and fabric are filled with air, making them great for wearing but larger than they need to be when you are trying to put them away which in turn takes up much more storage space. Space Bags eliminates the air – therefore eliminating the problem.

Space Bags Review – What Are They?

Space Bags are designed to use a vacuum (to suck out the air) and a specially designed one-way air valve to make sure no air returns through the same hole in which you just removed it. This makes even the biggest bedding more manageable.

Stuff inside your Space Bags are also completely protected from dust, bugs, food, odor, and just about anything that can make your clothes potentially unwearable. The nylon based material used to construct Space Bags is not only air tight and water tight, so your stuff is safe!

Space Bags also come in a variety of sizes ranging from:

• Jumbo cube – for bedding materials i.e. pillows, comforters, blankets, etc.
• Smaller “roll up” bag which is great for a change of clothes for when you go to the gym or packing for a trip.
• “Push-down” and “Roll up” bags, that use nothing but your own two hands to save space. Again both bags feature the one way valve that only allows air to flow in one direction.

The roll up bag is designed to fit one – two outfits and after you insert the items into the bag you seal the bag with the Sure-Zip zipper and simply roll the bag up and as you roll all the air is being pushed out thereby saving you space.

The push down cube works in the same fashion except instead of rolling up the bag you push down on the cube making it ideal for those times where you are out of town and need just that extra space for another change of clothes like swim trunks or a jersey while not sacrificing any of your toiletries.

There are quite a few things I really love about Space Bags.  I love the idea of packing all of our linens, bedding and off season clothes away to save space.  With this economy, we had to move into a smaller house than we had before, so naturally our stuff is a bit squished.  We had to make due with small closets.  Space Bags have helped us manage that…

There was really only one thing I didn’t like about Space Bags, and they fixed it already.  I really like the roll up and push down bags.  I wasn’t a big fan of getting the vacuum out every time I needed to suck the air out of a bag.  The rollup and pushdown bags solve that problem for me.

Now, I’ve got two dogs.  A black lab and a great dane.  My lab, Sadie, hardly ever barks.  My great dane, Mage, is always barking!  He’s got these two disctinct pitches – one to scare people away and one he uses when he wants something… Needless to say, when I saw the Bark Off product on TV, I was intrigued!

After doing some research online, I found out that Bark Off is the brand new pet product designed to help you work with your dog to cut down on his or her barking… Just the sort of product that many pet owners have been waiting for for years.

The obvious questions are is Bark Off a scam?  And does it work?  I looked all over the net for Bark Off Reviews and found very little solid information that didn’t seem like it was ‘prefabricated’ by bloggers.  So I decided to buy it and test it out for myself.

Bark Off Review – What Is It?

Bark Off is a pet training product that helps stop dog barking.  It:

It’s quite an effective little device!

Bark Off Review – What I liked

The thing I like the most about Bark Off is the fact that it’s painless to the dogs.  I just have an problem with shocking collars and other devices that cause harm to our dogs for doing something that their naturally inclined to do (barking…).

The thing I don’t like about Bark Off is I have a pretty big yard.  When they’re back by the woods, the device isn’t effective.  Granted, they’re 300 yards away and I’ve only had the device for about 3 weeks…

I am glad that I bought Bark Off.  It’s worked really well for my dogs, mainly Mage.  He doesn’t do his yippy “I want what you’re making for dinner” thing, or his “let’s scare off the mailman” bark..  It’s a blessing!

I saw this cool thing on TV last week called the Kangaroo Keeper.  I just had to try it.  I looked all over for a Kangaroo Keeper review but I couldn’t find anything good.  So I figured I’d just write buy and and write the review myself!

So anyway, I was having a problem keeping all my stuff in my handbag.  Cell phone.  Keys.  Chap stick…  My boyfriend tells me that I need to throw most of it out but that’s a different story.

So, when I saw the Kangaroo Keeper, I was pretty excited.  Maybe if I kept my purse organized, he’d quit giving me such a hard time about the catastrophe that I keep strapped to my shoulder.

Kangaroo Keeper Review – What Is It?

The Kangaroo Keeper is removable bag insert which is set within your bag.  Think of it was a removable purse lining.  You put all your stuff in the pockets and can then transplant it into any purse you like.  So if you like to coordinate your bags and your outfits, this thing is a must have.

The biggest thing about Kangaroo Keeper is the fact that it saves you a ton of time getting ready.  No more dumping you purse out only to transplant the contents in a bag that you’re only going to use for one night.  Not to mention, a less idiotic boyfriend is nice because it only takes you 40 minutes (rather than 60) to get ready.

The Kangaroo Keeper can store 70 ‘things’ inside of it. For those tote enthusiasts who’re obsessed with handbags but realize they can be tough to handle, this item will be perfect for them.

Kangaroo Keeper Review – Why I Love It

The Kangaroo Keeper is a fantastic little product.  But the reason I love it is because it can organize things big and small.  Things such as notebooks and journals fit well within its confines because you can turn pockets inside out, allowing for more room if you need it.

This handbag insert has seperate areas purse organization.  Things like your cards, coins, wallet, diaries, cellphone, makeup and cosmetics. All your items will be placed in one location and easily locatable…  Always a good thing.

Kangaroo Keeper Review – Negatives?

Frankly, the only thing I don’t like about the Kangaroo Keeper is that fact that I don’t have two of them!  You see, I’ve got this special bag called our ‘movie bag.’  The movie bag is the one that I take to the movies.  My BF and I take pop and candy, not that we’re supposed to, and it all fits easily inside my big purse.  One problem, that purse is ugly!

I’d love the have another Kangaroo Keeper so that I could just drop it into one of my other, more favorite bags, easily…  Maybe for Christmas…

I love my Kangaroo Keeper.  I even order one for my mom.  She was amazed at how much this little thing could hold and how quick it was to switch out purses.  I don’t think she’s the purse/outfit coordinator that I am, but she’s in love with how well this thing organizes stuff!

This isn’t just marketing-speak; the Forerunner 305 is the most accurate, most reliable wrist-mounted performance and GPS tracking tool we’ve ever tested. Yes, it’s that good. While no device this compact can do everything (yet), the 305 pushes the boundaries of what is possible from something strapped around your wrist. Design

The Garmin Forerunner 305’s design is a radical departure from Garmin’s previous generation of wrist mounted GPS devices, which reached a pinnacle with the Garmin Forerunner 301. While the 301 delivered accurate heart rate monitoring, good performance tracking, and decent GPS reception, it didn’t quite deliver in the design department.

GPS Performance

The big news about the Garmin Forerunner 305 is that it features an integrated, high-sensitivity SiRFstar III GPS receiver. What does this mean? It means that the 305’s ability to both track, and maintain a lock on, your position is better than anything before it. After an intial battery charge, the tester had the 305 on his wrist and was tracking speed and distance with GPS satellites within 3 minutes.

The next time we used the 305, satellite acquisition was nearly instantaneous.

Training Functions

The Garmin Forerunner 305 is first and foremost a training tool, and its ability to organize a ton of data types into a user experience that is intuitive and simple is no small feat. Whiz-bang technology aside, if you can’t use it and make it a natural part of your exercise routine, it’s worthless.

Computer Connectivity and Software

Garmin has been outfitting their devices with USB connectivity for some time now. Thanks to USB, the Garmin Forerunner 305 integrates seamlessly with the Training Center software and we quickly had workout history uploaded and stored on the computer. Not only does Training Center make it easy to track your performance, you can graph data such as heartrate alongside your speed and distance. Over time, this is a great way to view your fitness levels increase, and it also helps you see what types of workouts are necessary to strengthen your weaknesses.

First and foremost, I’d like to preface this review of Elance by saying that I’ve wasted a lot of money outsourcing technology projects over the years. I know how troubling it can be to trust someone thousands of miles a way to get the job done for you – and to have them bail on you…

So what I wanted to do is write a quick Elance Review article to fill you in on how to outsource some of your projects with confidence that they’ll get done! I’ve had the most luck outsourcing with Elance for building websites, linkbuilding and content writing.

Elance Review – What To Expect

Elance is a very easy way to find outsource workers and to post jobs where you are looking for. They make sure that they vet all of their outsourcers with tasks and resumes before they put them into the general worker pool.  The system is very easy to use and implement in your own day to day operations. They get very good feedback support and ratings on everybody who is taking a job. Not to mention, the workers that they have there are often times the best of the best.

Basically, how it works is you post a job or a task.  You decide how much you’re willing to pay for that task to be completed (actually you pick a range) and then workers come in and bid on it.  Some bids are going to be extremely low.  Some will be super high.  It’s your jobs to follow up with the workers, check out their portfolio and ultimately pick on to do the job.  Once the jobs is completed, you sign off and they receive their money!

Oftentimes, when I find someone I like, I’ll request that they work for me again.  Sometimes, I’ll even hire them outside of the Elance system if they do good enough work and I feel I can trust them…  But that’s Elance in a nutshell.

Overall, Elance is very easy to use and you can expect a very high quality of work to be done.

Elance Review – Advantages

Using Elance, you can reasonably expect to hire someone from a different country (or the US even) to fulfill some of your task requirements for far less than you’d pay if you hired someone straight out.  Like I said, web based projects like writing, research, web design and graphic work lend itself to this sort of thing.

The system is very easy to use and pretty intuitive, so no worries there.  It’s a very efficient way of outsourcing some of your work!

Elance Review – Disadvantages

There is a definite learning curve to outsourcing, and you have to be aware of it – even when you’re using a third party service like Elance.  Most likely, your workers will be in a different time zone, with a different Internet connection (something that may or may not be as stable as yours…).  Also, I’ve dealt with quite a few workers who lived in hurricane or forest fire conditions so you have to take those sorts of catastrophes into question.

But I’ve found that people you find on Elance will work very hard to get your project done.  They know that if they do a good job, you’ll hire them again.  And most likely, the pay is far better than if they worked in their country doing some sort of manual labor!

Elance Review – Conclusion

If you have ever thought about outsourcing, make sure you start by posting a job on Elance.  The work is usually pretty high quality and you can get it done for quite a bit less than you could otherwise!

Cricket Wireless has a lot of phones but some of them are more expensive than at the traditional cell phone providers like Verizon Wireless or AT&T.

I bought a Blackberry for my husband and saw that I spent a little more on it than Verizon has it advertised for.

After doing some digging, I discovered that Verizon actually loses money on the phones themselves because they know that they’ll sign you to a 24 month contract, making it back in the long run.

Cricket Wireless can’t do that (because there is no contract…). So they basically sell the phone to you for cost. So the price is justified because there isn’t a contract.

Cricket Wireless Review – Payment Options

Because there is no contract with Cricket Wireless, there are a few different ways that you can pay your prepaid cell phone bill.

Cricket Wireless offers customers the option to pay with a credit or debit card. You can make payments by phone with a credit or debit card, but you’ll be charged an additional 2 dollar processing fee to do so. Paying in cash at an authorized payment location for a 3 dollar fee is another option. Payment by mail may be made with check or money order and you can also make payments online through their customer care website.

Nothing too spectactular there… It’s important if you’re shopping for prepaid cell phones though!

Cricket Wireless offers unlimited text messaging with all plans.  Picture messaging is also usually included, but is determined by the plan you choose.

Data Plans are given on monthly plans of 45 dollars or more.  That’s unlimited mobile web.  PAYgo plans are a little different.  With those, you pay per day.

Roaming minutes cost 25 cents each. Cricket has expanded their nationwide coverage those, so it’s reduced roaming areas considerably.

Socrates WordPress Theme

If you’ve been blogging for any length of time, you remember when WordPress themes used to be free. All free! It didn’t matter how many features or buttons or widgets they had – they were free.

Then the first magazine themes came around. A few people starting charging for them. I remember there being such an uproar in the WordPress community because people had the gall to charge for premium themes.

Is The Socrates WordPress Theme Worth It?

Now, we come full circle. The Socrates WordPress Theme promises to make us all kinds of money on our site through ad blocks and ease of use and all that.

Don’t get me wrong, I like making money on my sites. In fact, that’s the reason I started blogging in the first place. My best days are the ones that advertisers email me to see how much a banner on my site will cost.

It’s for that reason that I bought the Socrates WordPress Theme. Let me tell you, I was a hesitant as you are. I didn’t know if I was throwing my money away or what. I just thought that maybe, just maybe, I’d be able to squeeze a few extra bucks out of my site a day.

Let me tell you – I’m glad I did. I’m not going to tell you that the Socrates WordPress theme will make you rich. It won’t. But it will surely help put your ads where you want them to go. It’ll also let you build the template exactly as you want it. In fact, I find that I spend a lot less time in front of my computer playing with this and tweaking that on my niche sites…

And to me, that’s a big win. If I can hang out with my family a little more each day and make a little more money because of a good WordPress Theme, then I’ve won.

The bad thing? The learning curve. Don’t expect that you’ll be able to just upload the WordPress theme and start crushing it with Adsense blocks. It’s not that easy. Make sure you’ve got an hour or so to watch the Socrates videos and you’ll be all set.

I’ve been into flight simulation for about 3 years now. Let me tell you – I love it and I hate it. Well, my wife probably hates it more!

You see, I’ve bought so many addons and flight simulation downloads that it could make your head spin. Everything from controls to modifications to software.

There are seriously less than a handful of flight simulation downloads I’d even THINK about suggesting to a friend!

I guess I can’t really blame the software creators. Technology is only just now catching up to what we’re looking for. With new maps programs and this crazy thing Microsoft is doing called Photosynth, it’s no wonder our needs haven’t been met.

I did find this one program though that I really did like. It’s called Flight Pro Sim. It’s got a ton of features… 20,000 airports. Over 100 aircraft. It’s really pretty amazing.

For sanity’s sake, I’m going to review my second choice too. That’s Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X Deluxe. It’s not a close second but a second nonetheless.

I was pleasantly surprised by Flight Pro Sim. I had a lot of sleepless nights (much to my wife's dismay - she's gotta deal with me).

Flight Pro Sim Review

Flight Pro Sim is definitely my first pick.  I’ll tell you a few of my thoughts about it…

Initial impressions:

First of all, I was hesitant to even by the software.  I had looked at the sales page about 4 times and thought “next pay day.”  Well, I finally cracked down and bought it.

The first time I logged in, I downloaded the software in the members area.  Quite frankly it contained what a lot of other flight simulator software companies sell as their full suite for hundreds of hundred dollars.

The simulator itself was very straight forward, and installed quickly. I tried the extra add-on packs and they also installed easily.

It was now time to test out the actual flight simulator. It started and I went over the amazing selection of planes. Far more than I thought, then I chose the take-off location and off I went.

The first thing that blew me away was the realistic controls. I had a go at flying a Cessna and was surprised as to the level of detail that has gone into this simulator. Unlike an arcade game, it actually took some time to master the controls and get into the air.  I already knew this would be a keeper.

Once air borne I was surprised again as to the level of detail as I flew close to the ground I had trees, sheep, a bridge and then the buildings came hurtling towards me. I tested it out further and went higher. Soon I was up in the clouds and blinded by the sun, literally….

After a couple of flight hours, I managed to get the hang of most of the basic skills. I was addicted and soon I was looping through the 3D clouds..

To really test it out I loaded the extra addon scenery packs to see if I could fly anywhere as they claimed…. and soon I was over the Effiel tower. I tried again and did the amazing Grand Canyon Tour, then again from Israel to Jordan and over the Dead Sea.

This software is very comprehensive, the controls even look and feel realistic. The wind direction matters and even the slope of the runway!

The drawbacks:

Unfortunately, you will get addicted to this flight simulation game.  I know I did.  Nothing crazy like I lost my marriage or my kids divorced me – but I definitely lost some sleep!  The scenery and some of the places I visited were just so amazing…

Microsoft Flight Simulator X Software

Microsoft’s Flight Simulator Download is definitely my second choice.  I remember buying it because it had the Microsoft name – I mean really how bad could it be?

Well, before long I gave up on it.  It didn’t have the detail that I hoped it did.  A felt somehow restricted (which is the exact opposite feeling you’re looking for in flight simulator software!
